Swarm Becomes More Skillful

The Night Stinger knew she had become more skillful in her boxing. Other girls began to wonder about her as she practiced in the boxing gym. They knew something was different in her training. The Night Stinger’s train of thought was very different. She had the thoughts of the Night Stinger, but she matured with her thoughts in training as Swarm.

There was a girl in the gym that was very jealous of Swarm. Her name was Sandra. She asked Swarm who‘s real name was Ruby, “You think you’re so bad, don’t you?”

Swarm kept punching her speed bag as if she didn’t know Sandra. She challenged Swarm to get into the ring with her and Swarm said, “Forget it.” Swarm knew that Sandra had a fight coming up, and she knew that she would give Sandra a serious injury. Sandra tried to punch Swarm, but Swarm kept blocking her punches. With speed Swarm kept hitting Sandra in the face after each block. Swarm laughed at Sandra as she finally ducked Swarm’s last punch.

Sandra said, “You make me sick.”

Swarm said, “And you make me sick too because I don’t want to fight you. You’re too slow.” Swarm walked away from Sandra and left her standing with the crowd starring. She went to her locker. Swarm cleaned it out and went home. She had no plans of practicing in the gym anymore. Instead, Swarm took the time to practice down in her basement, but she began to feel alone. It was because other girls feared her and her great skill in boxing. They were all turning against Swarm, and they all wanted a piece of her. No matter how skillful she was, they still wanted to challenge her. Those that did not want to challenge Swarm were hoping that someone would beat her.

It had been months since Swarm had been to the Grand Bee Chapel. She thought about her teacher, Mr. Moe. Swarm knew that he was always proud of her, and he understood that she had to find her own way in boxing. Swarm knew that she was changing and becoming better in her boxing skills. She felt that she still needed a little guidance. Swarm was a little lost and needed a spiritual guide. Sometimes she needed someone to talk to. Swarm knew that she could always talk to Mr. Moe.

Swarm Urge and Shopping

The Night Stinger who was not yet Swarm felt an urge to go out in the public sometimes during the day. She wanted to go shopping on a bright and sunny day. The Night Stinger went into a clothing store to buy some new shirts. She picked out a golden-yellow and black wide striped shirt. Night Stinger did not mind looking like a bumble bee. She felt that something about her was different because of her urge to box in the streets again.

One day Night Stinger wore her new shirt out in the back yard. There were bees flying all around her, but they did not try to sting. The bees were very harmless and she noticed it. Night Stinger thought, "This must be a sign."

Looking Through The Bookem Deck

Whenever it came to crime, the Night Stinger played her cards right. She had hung up the blue robe to take a break and to have time to herself. As she was looking through a deck of cards, she dropped one. The back was facing up which read Bookem deck. When she looked on the front of the card there was a picture of a character that was a part of her named Vicious Ring. It was time to put on another boxing robe after a long break. It was time for the Night Stinger to be Swarm.

(Hook Note)

The character Vicious Ring is a symbol and urge of Swarm. The Night Stinger had an urge to box again. She had been away from boxing for a long time. With so much desire to box locked inside, she was far worse in her return. The Night Stinger became Swarm.

Introduction

The Swarm is a sequel to the Night Stinger. The Night Stinger is Swarm in a different boxing robe. The Swarm is more of a vicious character fighting crime. She hangs up the blue Night Stinger robe to take a break, but her return is far worse. All of her accomplishments were locked away inside a sports ring, and like that sports ring, there was something locked inside of her ready to get out. Swarm had a vicious spirit that she wanted to let go, and she wanted to box again. She wanted to box just for fun and because it is a sport. However, Swarm had to fight for a better cause. The cause was the bad guys and girls out in the street.

This is another character and story dedicated to Laila Ali. I’m almost sure that Laila sometimes has the same urge as Swarm to box again. Laila has so much to give the boxing sport, and it has been too much for her opponents so far that she has fought. I have faith that Laila will return to the boxing ring again. I miss her, but in the meantime, I’ll be writing my boxing stories.
